The rest of April

So I have been so busy that I haven't written in a while. Let's play catch up.

Apr 16 - Today was Nathan's birthday party and it was lots of fun. I played with Eleanor and ate a bunch of strawberries, cheese, and cake. The cake was delicious and was shaped as Micky Mouse. Nathan definitely liked it too.

Apr 17 - Stayed home with Mommy and Daddy and watched Game 3 of the Caps/Rangers series. They lost.

Apr 18 - We went over to Ms. Donna's house for a visit. She showed me her birdies and I practiced on the stairs. We checked out all the renovations she did in the basement. It looked really nice.

Apr 19 - Today Mommy and I headed to the St. Charles mall to go see the Easter Bunny. Grandmommy and Granddaddy met us there. Mommy dressed me in this little preppy outfit complete with sweater vest. It was too big. We got there a little too early so Granddaddy, Mommy and I went into Kohl's and found me this cute little brown bunny so I could have my own bunny for the picture. We also got some really cool books. Then we went and stood in the Easter Bunny line. I sat with the bunny and got my picture taken. Then Mommy changed me into some play clothes and we all went to the little play area in the middle of the mall. It was so much fun. I went down the slide every kind of way that I could - on my stomach, on my back, backwards, with one leg forward and one leg back. I did it all! The Easter Bunny even came and visited all of us kids at the playarea. Then we went and ate in the food court. Then a little more shopping which ended up putting me to sleep.

After that long, fun day Mommy dressed me in my cool Elmo pjs which are a little too tight. Daddy and I played a little. He knows all my tickle spots.
Apr 20 - Today Sam came over for a playdate because Ms. Erin had a doctor's appointment in Annapolis. He and I played really well together expect for that one incident where he mistook my head for a nail on the play workbench. Ouch! But overall we were good together. Then Ms. Tara and James even stopped by for a couple of minutes. They couldn't stay but it was nice to see James. I went down for my nap in my crib and Mommy got Sam to sleep in her arms. I woke up hours later and Sam and I played a little while longer while Mommy and Ms. Erin talked.

We also watched the hockey game tonight. Caps won. Just one more win and they are off to Round 2!

Apr 21 - After I woke up from my nap today I decided to throw everything out of the crib and take off my pants. Mommy was a little surprised when I was standing there in my diaper.

Apr 22 - Today Aunt Erin, Mommy and I went for a ride in the van up to Waldorf. We went to the bank and then Toys R Us. Ms. Staci had sent me a giftcard to Toys R Us for my birthday so Mommy decided to let me pick my own toy. I tested a bunch of toys and ended up picking a really cool train. One of the employees told us that it was buy one, get one free so I also got this cool tow truck. Then we went to Pizza Hut. When we got home Mommy got my train out of the box and I had the best time with it. It is awesome. I can ride on it and there is a chute where you put the letters of the alphabet and they shoot out the back into a container. And it makes a bunch of cool sounds.

Apr 23 - Went over to Grandma Joanie and Chachi's house today while everyone else went to the hockey game. Mommy, Daddy, Aidan, Gavin, Uncle Sean, and Aunt Erin all drove together to watch the Caps beat the Rangers. I watched on tv with Chachi and Grandma. I also had a blast playing on the steps and running around the house. I really tired myself and Grandma and Chachi out.

Apr 24 - Today was so long. Daddy hung out with me in the morning while Mommy made lasagna. Mommy put me down for a nap early so that I would be ready for a big family gathering. We went over to Grandma Joanie and Chachi's house again for Easter. There were a LOT of people. Almost immediately after we walked in the door Chachi took me and started showing me off to everyone outside on the deck. I had some fun with Aunt Becky and played with Grandma. Then all the kids went on an Easter egg hunt. I found a couple of eggs and got lots of candy. Mommy let me eat a mini snickers and a few other candies. It was getting really hot so we hung out in the basement since it was cooler. I got to play with some of Aidan and Gavin's toys. After hanging out for a very long time we finally headed home for dinner, bath and bed.

Apr 25 - Mommy had a doctor's appointment today so after an early nap which she had to wake me up from...

didn't I look so comfortable
she dropped me off at Ms. Erin and Sam's house. Sam was asleep when I got there so Ms. Erin and I hung out. She gave me strawberries and then went to get Sam from his bed. We all went and played in their sandbox. Mommy's appointment was quick so she came back and watched Sam and I play. We played outside for a while. We watched Mommy and Ms. Erin toss a tennis ball back and forth. We also played in the little fold out tunnel that Ms. Erin brought out for us. We had lots of fun. And once when I sat on Mommy's lap she noticed that I cut both bottom canine teeth so that makes numbers 13 and 14 and the top ones are on their way in soon too. Then we went inside and played for a little while longer.

We came home and watched a little playoff hockey and played with Daddy. At bedtime tonight Mommy told Daddy about my two new teeth and how the top ones are going to be right behind and wouldn't you know it there was the top right one already pushing through! Up to 15 teeth now.

Apr 26 - Today's story time was about ducks. I brought my old pal Duckie and a little beanie baby duck to share with the group. I had a good time playing with my friends.

When that was over Mommy and I walked across the street to Panera Bread to see Ms. Denise and Eleanor. They tired to make story time but they were running late. Eleanor and I both had some oatmeal cookie and it was so tasty. Then Mommy and Ms. Denise made plans to see each other tomorrow at the park. We headed home for a nap and Mommy bought extra tickets online for the next two Caps games. Daddy came home and played on the computer for me. He found this really great song on youtube called the duck song. It is so much fun. We played it over and over. "Got any grapes?" Mommy thought it was perfect since we learned about ducks at story time today.

In the bath I showed Mommy that I could blow bubbles in the tub. She and Daddy thought it was funny so I kept doing it.

Apr 27 - So we were supposed to meet Ms. Denise and Eleanor at the park but it was looking a little rainy so we met at the library instead. Eleanor and I played on the boat and then the door opened to the story time room and we ran in. Mommy told me that Tuesday was our story time day and we had to leave but the librarians told us we could stay if we wanted. Wednesday story time is for kids age 2-3 and they do things a little differently but we decided to give it a try. I enjoyed it but started to get a little vocal and we had to get going anyway. We said goodbye to Ms.Denise and Eleanor and left. Mommy and I drove to Ms. Dana's house. She had invited us over now that she is getting the hang of having two kids at home. Sam and Ms. Erin were their too. We had a good time playing together until about noon when we all had to leave for nap time. I fell asleep in the car. Mommy stopped off at Mel's crab truck and got two dozen crabs to steam herself. They were already steaming when I woke up from my nap. Mommy ate them while I played. She tried to get me to try some but I would have none of it. When Daddy got home she picked meat for him so he didn't have to get messy too. Oh, and the Caps play Tampa in round 2.

Apr 28 - Today we had to wake up early to get over to the Harrington House. Aunt Lynn had a job interview and she needed Mommy to watch the boys. We had breakfast and then the three of us went outside and played hockey for a little while before it started to rain and thunder. Mommy put me upstairs in Bailey's room in a pack n play to nap. By the time I woke up Aunt Lynn was home. We didn't stay for much longer.

We went home and I played with my own toys. While I was playing Mommy and I noticed a very large visitor in our backyard. We have a groundhog. He came right up to the patio door.

Apr 29 - Mommy and I made a trip down to DC today to see Ms. Staci. It has been so long since we have seen her. We met her at her new office and we walked around the corner to TGI Friday's. I snacked but didn't eat very much of my meal. I played the fun game of lets see how many times I can throw something on the floor and have someone pick it up. Then Mommy let me play with her cell phone to keep me occupied. I called Daddy and hung up on him.

Mommy was telling Ms. Staci all about my new accomplishments and how I am developing. Mommy told her that my vocabulary now contains Mommy, Daddy, hi, doggie, and cookie but that I usually don't say them to anyone other than her. Then just to prove her wrong I said cookie to Ms. Staci. After we finished eating we went back to Ms. Staci's office building and she rode the escalator with me and then we all rode the elevator. Ms. Staci gave us a quick tour of her office and then we said goodbye. We said that we would have to come back soon for another lunch date.

I slept on the way home and a little later Grandmommy and Granddaddy came over to hang out with me while Mommy, Daddy and Aunt Erin went to the hockey game. I had a great time with them. We played together for a long time and Grandmommy fed me. I went to bed before the game ended but found out that the Caps lost to Tampa.

Apr 30 - Grandmommy and Granddaddy slept over last night. They were right there when I woke up along with Mommy. They all told me good morning and watched me eat my breakfast. Then we all went to the park for Eleanor's birthday party. I played on the equipment and saw a bunch of my friends for group. We ate snacks and I went for a walk with Granddaddy. It was a fun time. We said goodbye to everyone at the party and Grandmommy and Granddaddy and headed home for a much needed nap.
