July 1 - Granddaddy and Grandmommy came over for a visit today. We all went to the beach together. I showed them how much I love the water. I played in the big wooden boat and walked with Granddaddy on the beach. We watched ducks together and sat and watched the waves.
July 2 - We went up to Mr. Todd's and Ms. Nicole's house for a party. They had a pool but it was freezing cold and I cried when Mommy put me in it. I played a little with Noah and had some good food. I hung out with Daddy and Mr. Todd inside while Mommy ate crabs. It was a long day and a lot of driving but a lot of fun.
July 3 - We went to North Beach for fireworks tonight. It was raining but we still had a great time. I wasn't scared at all and they were so pretty. We got soaked but it was worth it.
July 4 - Mommy woke up with a headache today so she wasn't in a great mood. She really wasn't in a good mood when I threw my sippy cup and hit her in the head. Oops.
July 5 - I am 17 months old today. We had another visitor at the sliding glass door. This time it was the ground hog. He was helping Mommy and Daddy clear out the overgrown flower bed by eating the tall grass and weeds. He made the doggies get really excited.
July 6 - One of those inside cleaning days. Mommy has to do that from time to time with all of us making messes all over the place. I try to help her as much as possible. I like being Mommy's helper.
July 7 - We went over to Ms. Erin and Sam's place today for a playdate. We brought my whale pool and Sam had a pool too. We blew both of them up with a air pump and it was a good thing because Isabella, Dominic, Hayden and a few other kids came over to play too. We had a lot of fun and then went inside to play for a little while before coming home for a nap. Today was Mommy and Daddy's anniversary. They have been married for 4 years. They spent the special day organizing the living room. They are trying to get things into the attic or shed so it isn't being used for storage. Mommy's goal is to get a sofa bed in there eventually. It was boring watching them. I tried to find things to play with but everything I touched resulted in "NO!" I can't win.
July 8 - Mommy and I headed over to see Chachi today. He let me try on his cool new hat, told us stories, and played the singing fishy for me. And, of course, I had to practice the stairs.
July 9 - Today was Hunter's birthday party. Daddy, Mommy and I rode in the van down to Lusby. A lot of our old group members were there. We had lots of fun playing together and they had really good snacks. We all got balloons to take home. When we got back home Mommy and Daddy went to outback for anniversary and Grandmommy and Granddaddy watched me at home.
July 10 - I had a bit of a runny nose today but it was clear. Mommy thinks it might be teething related. Maybe my 20 month molars are coming in.
July 11 - Mommy bought me underwear and plastic pants to start potty training. She had me try them on when i got home and the underwear is kind of big but the plastic pants are kind of cool. They crinkle when you grab them. LOL I thought that was funny.
July 12 - Today we stayed home to get used to potty. Every 30 mins the alarm went off and we rushed to potty to sit on it for a few minutes. Mommy would give me a piece of candy just to sit on it. I didn't actually go on the potty but I did get used to sitting.
July 13 - Today was Day 2 of potty training. Mommy took me to the bathroom every 15 mins like yesterday but today I didn't get candy for sitting. I didn't actually go on the potty but I did get good at listening out for the alarm to know it was potty time. We are going to stop fora bit though cause the underwear is too big and isn't holding anything in. Mommy is going to try to find smaller pants.
July 14 - Pool playdate at my house. Mommy and I got my whale pool all blown up and filled before Ms. Andrea, Noah, Ms. Dana, Caylee, Alice, Ms. Nicole and David came over. I didn't ever wait for them to get there; I didn't even wait until I was in my swim suit before hopping in. We all had a great time playing in the water and snacking on our blankets in the grass. It was a beautiful day.
Later, after everyone left and after I woke up from my nap Mommy and I spent some time dancing. I am a dancing fool. I just love shaking my hips and moving my arms. Mommy and Daddy get a kick out of it.
July 15 - Mommy watched David today for Ms. Nicole. It was fun playing with him and he is such a laid back kid that Mommy was happy to help. His Daddy picked him up before nap time. Later, Mommy and I went down to the farmers market and got to hang out with Ms. Denise, Mr. Bryan, Eleanor, Ms. Nicole, David, Ms. Tara, and James. We walked the boardwalk and ran into Ms. Andrea, Mr. Nick, and Noah. We all played and ran around the pavilion area as the sun set and the moon rose.
July 16 - Today was spent doing yard work. I helped Daddy mow the grass again and watched Mommy weed wack and trim the hedges. It was a pretty day to get things done outside.
July 18 - Mommy watched David again today. It was so much fun playing with him and talking to him while we ate. We also danced in the kitchen together. Ms. Nicole said David never dances but I got him to. David napped in Mommy and Daddy's room in the pack n play while I was in my room. We got to play for a few hours after nap until his Daddy came and picked him up.
July 20 - I woke up at 6am this morning. Mommy wasn't exactly as enthusiastic to start the day as I was. Later, Mommy started to giggle and I looked up to see her giggling at me. I don't know what was so funny. I just was sitting in one of my blue bins from the toy shelf and playing with leapfrog bus. It is just way too hot this week to plan anything outside so there will be more playing inside this week.
July 21 - I woke up after 10am this morning. Mommy said I had the right idea to sleep instead of wanting to go out in the heat. It is just too hot outside today so played inside.
After my nap the crib tried to eat my leg. I put my leg through the bars and got really stuck. I started to cry and Mommy came in, tried to get me loose but couldn't so she had Daddy come help. It took both Mommy and Daddy to get me out. I was really worked up after that so it took a while for Mommy to calm me down and Daddy had to check that I didn't break my leg. I was so scared but in a few minutes I was back to action.
July 22 - Today was one of the hottest days on record. Do you remember telling you about that nice BGE guy that came to install a new thermostat? Well, because it was an emergency day for BGE that new box controlled our A/C for the day. It made it so it only ran on 50% power and the house got hot. It got up to 80 degrees in the house which is hot here since we always keep it at 72. Mommy and Daddy and Aunt Erin said it was hard to work out in the heat.
July 23 - I got a hold of the laptop today and started to bang on it. I ended up breaking Mommy's spacebar off. She was not happy with me. She said I lost computer privileges. We all organized the family room today. Since I have learned to climb the couch by myself Mommy said we might as well bring the corners back in here. I was super happy to have even more room to jump on the couch.
July 24 - After going through all the stuff in the shed Mommy and Daddy found the original Nintendo. Today they hooked it up to the tv while I was napping and wouldn't let me play once I woke up. Something about it was a lot older than me and I had to respect it. We went over to the Harrington house for dinner.
July 25 - Another beach day. I played and splashed with Sam, Caylee, Noah, Emmi, and Llywelyn. I had my face in the water constantly and Mommy had to keep lifting me up. Mommy says I have no fear. I picked up pebbles on the shore and threw them in the water to watch them splash. I played in the wooden boat. I shared Mommy with baby Alice for a bit. And just before we left some nice lady let me borrow her big blue inflatable tube to try. I spun around and walked all over the shore. It was the best. Mommy, we have to get one of those.
July 26 - Today was an accident prone day. I guess it was time for another one of those. I had my first big fall off the couch today since learning to climb it by myself. I landed right on my head. I cried a lot but Mommy made it all better with a combination of hugs and cheetos. Then, I was running and playing and fell on my red bucket resulting in a cut across the bridge of my nose. Later, Grandma came over and watched me while Mommy and Daddy went to a meeting about a real estate/timeshare thing. I apparently didn't learn because I fell off the couch AGAIN. And once Mommy and Daddy got home I followed Daddy in the kitchen and got hit in the head by the oven door by daddy. It was one of those days that I couldn't win. However, in between injuries and crying, I was smiling.
July 27 - Mommy cleared out a lot of the overgrown patio today at nap so I can see the back yard now out of the sliding glass door.
July 28 - Ms. Erin wasn't feeling great this morning so she didn't want to go to the playdate at Ms. Dana's today. She asked if Mommy and I could stop by before the playdate so Sam could get some play time. We did. Sam was happy to see me. We played for maybe an hour before we left to go to Ms. Dana's. Caylee's house was great. We all got along super well and as always we had so much fun playing with new toys. They had this really cool Elmo doll that blew kisses to you. I hugged that one a lot.
Later Daddy took me for a ride on the lawn mower for the first time. I may not look like it in the pictures but I had a lot of fun.
July 29 - Today we went to Walmart and got the last Elmo doll on the shelf. It was the same one I liked so much from Caylee's house yesterday. While we were there I tried on a cowboy hat. Don't I look cute?
We got home and watched the Wee Sing Sillyville dvd that Mommy got me. She told me that she used to watch it when she was a girl. Some of the songs caught my interest and I danced a little. I got a hold of the camera again and took a picture of myself. You can clearly see the cut across my nose from falling on my toy the other day.
Later we went over to the Harrington house for dinner. Gavin kept trying to eat my snacks from my cup and Mommy and Daddy kept telling him not to. Gavin wouldn't listen and kept trying to steal them anyway.
July 30 - Aunt Erin moved out of the Harrington house and into her own apartment. I hung out with Daddy at home while Mommy helped Aunt Erin pack. Mommy called us when they needed us to pack the van. I tried to help bring things out to the van. Then we all drove up to the new place in Mt. Airy. The new place is nice and all the kids checked it out with Grandma as the rest of the adults brought all of her things in. All the kids got a big popsicle to eat in the kitchen for being so good. Mommy shared mine cause it was huge. Then Grandma, Aunt Erin, Daddy, Mommy and I went out to eat at a pizza place. I didn't eat anything and was so tired. Mommy tried to keep me quiet by singing songs to me quietly but I was done. I was making too much noise so Mommy and I hung out in the van for a while until everyone was done with dinner. Then we went home.

June Recap
June 1 - Mommy and I picked up Grandmommy in the van today and went to see cousin Chris, the dentist. Mommy hadn't been to the dentist in a long time. Tisk tisk, Mommy. Grandmommy and I hung out in the waiting room playing while Mommy was in the back. The waiting room was full of toys. I especially liked this alligator that when you pushed on his teeth, his mouth could close to try to bite your hand. I played with that a lot time. When Mommy got done I said hi to cousin Chris. He said it won't be too long til I get to come in for an appointment. I mean, I do have #16 teeth now! I might have forgotten to tell you that but, yeah, almost a full mouth of pearly whites and Mommy brushes them for me every night.
June 2 - I bit Mommy today. I was playing and had my head below her shoulder and then just bit down. She screamed and then she started to cry. I stopped and looked at her and gave her a look to tell her I am sorry. She gave me a hug and told me it was ok. I will try to remember not to hurt Mommy like that again.
My bite left a red mark on Mommy. Sorry again, Mommy.
June 3 - Mommy had a night out with Aunt Lynn to go to the NKOTBSB concert so I got a night with Daddy. We had a blast. Its always the best time with Daddy.
June 4 - Daddy came with us to the park today. It was great. Daddy and I played on the tennis court, he helped me go down the slides, he pushed me in the swing, and he watched me go through the tunnels. He followed me up the stairs to the BIG slide but I chickened out and went back down the steps. We headed home but I still wasn't played out yet so Daddy pushed me around on our merry go round. Daddy is the best.
June 5 - Mommy and I headed out to VA today to go to Tristan's birthday party. It was at a small park. I did really well climbing the stairs but I wasn't so sure about going down the slide by myself. Mommy went down with me a few times so that was cool. I rode on the swing and ran around the basketball court with Tristan and a few other kids. Mommy let me eat potato chips and drink Hawaiian Punch. She tried to get me to eat a hamburger but that wasn't happening.
June 6 - Mommy dropped me off at Ms. Erin with Sam today so that she could run to a doctor's appointment. Sam was sleeping when I first got there but woke up shortly after. We ate strawberries and played inside and out. Mommy's appointment was quick and she was back in no time. We stayed for a while, playing in and outside, until it got close to naptime.
June 8 - I tested out a different seat in the car today...the driver's seat. It was very comfortable.
June 9 - I had a great time watching Mommy play on the Wii Fit today. She was talking on the phone to Mr. Rashaad and he was playing the same game at the same time. Mommy was kicking his behind. It looked like so much fun I wanted to play too. Mommy is always so nice about letting me have a turn too. Mr. Rashaad only beat us once.
After Daddy got home Mommy decided that it was time he watch me in the moon bounce since he hasn't seen me yet. So Mommy set it up in the backyard and I showed Daddy how much fun it is. Then I walked around the house for a bit but the mosquitoes started biting so we went back inside.
June 10 - Today was bath day for the doggies. We took them outside and hooked them up to the pillars in the carport so they couldn't run away. They washed Osiris first and then Apollo. All the water made a huge puddle in the carport. I loved it. I got nice and soaked. After the doggies finished with their bath Daddy let me play in the hose. I giggled every time the water hit me.
June 11 - Mommy, Daddy, and I went over to cousin Nicole's 40th birthday party. So many people. I watched Mommy and Daddy play badminton and other family play football. I spent some time with Grandma. It was great. So many different family members to see. But my favorite part was definitely the sno cones.
June 12 - Today was definitely a recovery day. We were all exhausted after the fun yesterday. I woke up around 10:30am and Daddy was heading back to bed when I got up.
June 14 - Mommy and I headed down to the beach since it was a beautiful day. We got all the beach stuff together and headed out the door. I was so excited about the beach that I went running toward the car. I was running so fast that I tripped in the driveway and almost flipped over. I scrapped my head really good and after a minute of crying I was fine and ready to get to the beach.
We got there and saw Ms. Grethel and Llywelyn. I played with Llywelyn for a while in the sand, played in the water, and watched some ducks. When I was done I headed over to the stairs from the boardwalk. Mommy was running after me but it was too late. I tripped on the bottom stair and fell forward hitting my mouth on the second stair. My lip started bleeding. The beach attendant gave Mommy some ice for me and she got me to stop crying. We headed home after that but it looked like I had gotten in a fight by the end of the day.
June 15 - Mommy and Ms. Andrea planned a playdate for Noah and me before they go away on vacation. We hung out at their place for a while and played with Noah's toys. Noah was really good with sharing and really happy to see us. He gave me a bunch of big hugs. Mommy gave me the necklace we got Ms. Andrea to give to her. It was a pretty necklace that had little footprints on it and had Hannah Elizabeth ...Til' We Meet Again engraved on it. Ms. Andrea thought it was great and teared up and hugged Mommy.
We all decided to head down to the beach. Noah and I rode in a wagon. It was awesome. Noah and I had a great time playing in the water and sand. Neither of us were dressed for the water but we didn't care and Mommy and Ms. Andrea couldn't stop us. Then we chased ducks and got to see little baby ducklings. We got stripped down to get back in the wagon and head back to the house. Good thing Mommy had a change of clothes for me in the car.
June 17 - Today was a first. I have been watching Mommy and Daddy and Aunt Erin do so many jumping exercises that I have been trying to jump too. I haven't been able to get both feet off the ground at the same time...that is, until today. I jumped and got both feet off the ground. Mommy saw. I had to do it again for Daddy. They both celebrated like I had just graduated college or something. Mommy looked it up and said that milestone is usually reached after 2 yrs old. What can I say? I'm special.
June 18 - The three of us went out to eat at Olive Garden today. I did well for the most part chewing on croutons from the salad, bread sticks, and crayons (even though Mommy tells me they are not food!). They ordered me mac n cheese but I decided to be difficult and not try it. I started to get a little noisy towards the end so Daddy took me out to the van so Mommy could finish her meal and pay the bill.
We stopped by the mall really quickly and then Daddy brought me out to the van. He put me inside while he put the stroller away. Mommy was a few steps behind and when she got to the van she saw that I made quite the mess! I got hold of the left over mac n cheese meal I didn't eat and opened the container to dump all over the floor of the van. She caught me but I gave her my best "I-didn't-do-it!" face. I think I have to work on that face.June 19 - Father's Day! We went over to the Harrington house for a cookout. As always, it was fun.
June 20 - Big playdate at Ms. Erin and Sam's house today. As always, it was a great time and all of us kids played really nicely together. Sam and I lounged around on his couch and shared snacks. We all peeked at baby Alice swinging in her little seat. After she was done Sam climbed into it and took a turn.
Later, Mommy left me at home with Daddy so she could go to her friend Elmer's grandmother's viewing. Daddy played my favorite videos on YouTube for me.
June 22 - Today Sam and Ms. Erin came over for a playdate. We spent a lot of time outside. First we played in my moon bounce. We had a lot of fun doing that but it got really hot.
Mommy set up my new elephant trunk water sprinkler for Sam and I to cool off with. We had so much fun running through it. Then Mommy set up the real sprinkler which we had even more fun running through. Now we were soaked but we were hot anymore.
June 23 - We had a visitor come right up to the sliding glass door today. Mommy is working with me to try to say bun-ny. I haven't caught on yet.
June 24 - Mommy spent a lot of time today getting ready for her big 10 yr high school reunion. Grandmommy and Granddaddy came over to spent time with me while she and Daddy got ready. Have to say, they looked really nice when they were ready to leave. I got to spend the rest of the evening with Grandmommy and Granddaddy playing.
June 25 - Today was Day 2 of the 10 yr reunion. Today I got to go with Mommy and Daddy to Oxon Hill High School, where both Mommy and Daddy graduated from. There was a picnic and I got to play with some other kids including Ms. Tammy's son Tyler.
June 26 - I got to spend a lot of one on one time with Daddy today since Mommy left me to go to her friend Kelly's baby shower. Daddy and I always have a great time hanging out. We spent a little time outside and hanging out in the van.
June 27 - Went down the the beach again today. I have been getting more and more brave. I will go deeper in the water and I will put my face in and blow bubbles. Mommy even will lay me back so that I get comfortable on my back. Still not too comfortable yet, but getting better. Mommy was really proud when I laid on my belly in the shallow water and tried to kick my legs like a frog. Mommy said that we are really going to have to think about swim lessons soon.
June 28 - Today was one of those cleaning the house days. Mommy was so determined to get things done but I was having one of those clingy kind of days. She managed to get some things done but not as much as she wanted to because I just wanted her to pay attention to me and play with me. I can't help it. Everyone has one of those days that they want to be hugged.
June 29 - When I woke up this morning Mommy had a visitor. A nice man from BGE was putting a box on our AC unit. It is supposed to control our AC on certain occasions. I was really fussy today. I wasn't really happy playing with toys or sitting with Mommy or eating snacks. When it was time for nap I looked exhausted. I could tell that Mommy was getting worn out by me and happy to put me down for a nap. She was not happy to see me awake in just 45 mins. I was really over tired at that point and couldn't be satisfied. It was a very long day.
June 30 - Today I made Mommy very proud. She handed me something and I said "ank-ooh" which was my was of saying thank you. It was clear to Mommy what I meant and she gave me a big hug and told me "your welcome." When she told Daddy when he got home they thought it was pretty cool that I learned to say thank you before I learned to say NO.
