June 1 - Mommy and I picked up Grandmommy in the van today and went to see cousin Chris, the dentist. Mommy hadn't been to the dentist in a long time. Tisk tisk, Mommy. Grandmommy and I hung out in the waiting room playing while Mommy was in the back. The waiting room was full of toys. I especially liked this alligator that when you pushed on his teeth, his mouth could close to try to bite your hand. I played with that a lot time. When Mommy got done I said hi to cousin Chris. He said it won't be too long til I get to come in for an appointment. I mean, I do have #16 teeth now! I might have forgotten to tell you that but, yeah, almost a full mouth of pearly whites and Mommy brushes them for me every night.
June 2 - I bit Mommy today. I was playing and had my head below her shoulder and then just bit down. She screamed and then she started to cry. I stopped and looked at her and gave her a look to tell her I am sorry. She gave me a hug and told me it was ok. I will try to remember not to hurt Mommy like that again.
My bite left a red mark on Mommy. Sorry again, Mommy.
June 3 - Mommy had a night out with Aunt Lynn to go to the NKOTBSB concert so I got a night with Daddy. We had a blast. Its always the best time with Daddy.
June 4 - Daddy came with us to the park today. It was great. Daddy and I played on the tennis court, he helped me go down the slides, he pushed me in the swing, and he watched me go through the tunnels. He followed me up the stairs to the BIG slide but I chickened out and went back down the steps. We headed home but I still wasn't played out yet so Daddy pushed me around on our merry go round. Daddy is the best.
June 5 - Mommy and I headed out to VA today to go to Tristan's birthday party. It was at a small park. I did really well climbing the stairs but I wasn't so sure about going down the slide by myself. Mommy went down with me a few times so that was cool. I rode on the swing and ran around the basketball court with Tristan and a few other kids. Mommy let me eat potato chips and drink Hawaiian Punch. She tried to get me to eat a hamburger but that wasn't happening.
June 6 - Mommy dropped me off at Ms. Erin with Sam today so that she could run to a doctor's appointment. Sam was sleeping when I first got there but woke up shortly after. We ate strawberries and played inside and out. Mommy's appointment was quick and she was back in no time. We stayed for a while, playing in and outside, until it got close to naptime.
June 8 - I tested out a different seat in the car today...the driver's seat. It was very comfortable.
June 9 - I had a great time watching Mommy play on the Wii Fit today. She was talking on the phone to Mr. Rashaad and he was playing the same game at the same time. Mommy was kicking his behind. It looked like so much fun I wanted to play too. Mommy is always so nice about letting me have a turn too. Mr. Rashaad only beat us once.
After Daddy got home Mommy decided that it was time he watch me in the moon bounce since he hasn't seen me yet. So Mommy set it up in the backyard and I showed Daddy how much fun it is. Then I walked around the house for a bit but the mosquitoes started biting so we went back inside.
June 10 - Today was bath day for the doggies. We took them outside and hooked them up to the pillars in the carport so they couldn't run away. They washed Osiris first and then Apollo. All the water made a huge puddle in the carport. I loved it. I got nice and soaked. After the doggies finished with their bath Daddy let me play in the hose. I giggled every time the water hit me.
June 11 - Mommy, Daddy, and I went over to cousin Nicole's 40th birthday party. So many people. I watched Mommy and Daddy play badminton and other family play football. I spent some time with Grandma. It was great. So many different family members to see. But my favorite part was definitely the sno cones.
June 12 - Today was definitely a recovery day. We were all exhausted after the fun yesterday. I woke up around 10:30am and Daddy was heading back to bed when I got up.
June 14 - Mommy and I headed down to the beach since it was a beautiful day. We got all the beach stuff together and headed out the door. I was so excited about the beach that I went running toward the car. I was running so fast that I tripped in the driveway and almost flipped over. I scrapped my head really good and after a minute of crying I was fine and ready to get to the beach.
We got there and saw Ms. Grethel and Llywelyn. I played with Llywelyn for a while in the sand, played in the water, and watched some ducks. When I was done I headed over to the stairs from the boardwalk. Mommy was running after me but it was too late. I tripped on the bottom stair and fell forward hitting my mouth on the second stair. My lip started bleeding. The beach attendant gave Mommy some ice for me and she got me to stop crying. We headed home after that but it looked like I had gotten in a fight by the end of the day.
June 15 - Mommy and Ms. Andrea planned a playdate for Noah and me before they go away on vacation. We hung out at their place for a while and played with Noah's toys. Noah was really good with sharing and really happy to see us. He gave me a bunch of big hugs. Mommy gave me the necklace we got Ms. Andrea to give to her. It was a pretty necklace that had little footprints on it and had Hannah Elizabeth ...Til' We Meet Again engraved on it. Ms. Andrea thought it was great and teared up and hugged Mommy.
We all decided to head down to the beach. Noah and I rode in a wagon. It was awesome. Noah and I had a great time playing in the water and sand. Neither of us were dressed for the water but we didn't care and Mommy and Ms. Andrea couldn't stop us. Then we chased ducks and got to see little baby ducklings. We got stripped down to get back in the wagon and head back to the house. Good thing Mommy had a change of clothes for me in the car.
June 17 - Today was a first. I have been watching Mommy and Daddy and Aunt Erin do so many jumping exercises that I have been trying to jump too. I haven't been able to get both feet off the ground at the same time...that is, until today. I jumped and got both feet off the ground. Mommy saw. I had to do it again for Daddy. They both celebrated like I had just graduated college or something. Mommy looked it up and said that milestone is usually reached after 2 yrs old. What can I say? I'm special.
June 18 - The three of us went out to eat at Olive Garden today. I did well for the most part chewing on croutons from the salad, bread sticks, and crayons (even though Mommy tells me they are not food!). They ordered me mac n cheese but I decided to be difficult and not try it. I started to get a little noisy towards the end so Daddy took me out to the van so Mommy could finish her meal and pay the bill.
We stopped by the mall really quickly and then Daddy brought me out to the van. He put me inside while he put the stroller away. Mommy was a few steps behind and when she got to the van she saw that I made quite the mess! I got hold of the left over mac n cheese meal I didn't eat and opened the container to dump all over the floor of the van. She caught me but I gave her my best "I-didn't-do-it!" face. I think I have to work on that face.June 19 - Father's Day! We went over to the Harrington house for a cookout. As always, it was fun.
June 20 - Big playdate at Ms. Erin and Sam's house today. As always, it was a great time and all of us kids played really nicely together. Sam and I lounged around on his couch and shared snacks. We all peeked at baby Alice swinging in her little seat. After she was done Sam climbed into it and took a turn.
Later, Mommy left me at home with Daddy so she could go to her friend Elmer's grandmother's viewing. Daddy played my favorite videos on YouTube for me.
June 22 - Today Sam and Ms. Erin came over for a playdate. We spent a lot of time outside. First we played in my moon bounce. We had a lot of fun doing that but it got really hot.
Mommy set up my new elephant trunk water sprinkler for Sam and I to cool off with. We had so much fun running through it. Then Mommy set up the real sprinkler which we had even more fun running through. Now we were soaked but we were hot anymore.
June 23 - We had a visitor come right up to the sliding glass door today. Mommy is working with me to try to say bun-ny. I haven't caught on yet.
June 24 - Mommy spent a lot of time today getting ready for her big 10 yr high school reunion. Grandmommy and Granddaddy came over to spent time with me while she and Daddy got ready. Have to say, they looked really nice when they were ready to leave. I got to spend the rest of the evening with Grandmommy and Granddaddy playing.
June 25 - Today was Day 2 of the 10 yr reunion. Today I got to go with Mommy and Daddy to Oxon Hill High School, where both Mommy and Daddy graduated from. There was a picnic and I got to play with some other kids including Ms. Tammy's son Tyler.
June 26 - I got to spend a lot of one on one time with Daddy today since Mommy left me to go to her friend Kelly's baby shower. Daddy and I always have a great time hanging out. We spent a little time outside and hanging out in the van.
June 27 - Went down the the beach again today. I have been getting more and more brave. I will go deeper in the water and I will put my face in and blow bubbles. Mommy even will lay me back so that I get comfortable on my back. Still not too comfortable yet, but getting better. Mommy was really proud when I laid on my belly in the shallow water and tried to kick my legs like a frog. Mommy said that we are really going to have to think about swim lessons soon.
June 28 - Today was one of those cleaning the house days. Mommy was so determined to get things done but I was having one of those clingy kind of days. She managed to get some things done but not as much as she wanted to because I just wanted her to pay attention to me and play with me. I can't help it. Everyone has one of those days that they want to be hugged.
June 29 - When I woke up this morning Mommy had a visitor. A nice man from BGE was putting a box on our AC unit. It is supposed to control our AC on certain occasions. I was really fussy today. I wasn't really happy playing with toys or sitting with Mommy or eating snacks. When it was time for nap I looked exhausted. I could tell that Mommy was getting worn out by me and happy to put me down for a nap. She was not happy to see me awake in just 45 mins. I was really over tired at that point and couldn't be satisfied. It was a very long day.
June 30 - Today I made Mommy very proud. She handed me something and I said "ank-ooh" which was my was of saying thank you. It was clear to Mommy what I meant and she gave me a big hug and told me "your welcome." When she told Daddy when he got home they thought it was pretty cool that I learned to say thank you before I learned to say NO.
