Wii Wii Wii

June 6 - Mommy came and got me this morning for breakfast and after I ate Mommy burped me and I lost half my breakfast all over Mommy. I looked at her and laughed and so did Daddy. Mommy wasn’t mad. After Mommy got cleaned up it was play time. Mommy put me in my crib and I played with my dragonfly. That dragonfly has everything, a mirror, crinkle wings, squeakers, and even a teething ring. It was so much fun. Mommy told me that she got that for me for Christmas and she was glad I liked it. After playing so well in my crib I took a nap. I never take a nap in my crib, Mommy was really pleased. I must be growing up. The rest of the day was spent inside playing, eating, and sleeping. Mommy and Daddy played on the Wii Fit a lot today and also set up our whole family as Miis. Did you know that you can monitor the weight of animals and babies on the Wii? Well, you can. Now Mommy has a different way to monitor my growth. I had so much fun watching Mommy and Daddy play. They looked so funny especially Daddy playing hula hoop.

4 Months Old

June 5 - Did you know that I am 4 months old today? Well I am! This morning Mommy, Daddy and I played for a while on the blanket. I am getting really good at rolling from my stomach to my back. I am also getting really good at lifting my head when I am on my stomach. Well, after play time, we all went to meet this guy about possibly buying a used minivan. Mommy and Daddy liked it so we might be getting something with some more room for all my toys in the car. We came home, had lunch, I showered with Daddy, got dressed by Mommy, and then Mommy and I were off to her friend Keisha’s baby shower. As usual, I was the hit at the party. So many people saying how handsome I am and how cute I am with my ears that stick out and my big grey eyes. I had so much fun at the baby shower I fell asleep on my blanket in the middle of all the commotion. When I woke up it was time to go home. When we got back home, I played in my exersaucer and then spent a lot of time with Daddy, talking to him, playing with him, and watching him bowl on the Wii. After all that, it was about time for bed so Mommy changed me into my bedtime clothes, I had dinner and then it was nighty-night. What is in store tomorrow?

A trip to Rockville

June 4 - After breakfast this morning Mommy and I played for a little bit but I guess I was still tired so I took a short nap. Then Mommy packed everything up and we headed up to Mommy’s old office. I saw so many people and they all told me how cute I was and how lucky Mommy was to have me. I also got to see Staci. I missed Staci. She used to talk to me all the time and play with me when I was still in Mommy’s belly. Mommy calls her my best friend.

Then it was time for lunch so Tinasha, Donna, Dave Sherdel, Dave McCormick, Staci, Mommy and I went to IHOP. At IHOP, Mommy brought my bumbo seat so I could sit at the table like a big boy. I entertained myself for a few minutes chewing on my little Eeyore rattle and talking to everyone that walked by. Then I started to get a little fussy and Mommy tried to make me happy again by lifting me up in the air. I liked that so much I let out this really big laugh that made the whole restaurant turn and look at me! After lunch I was worn out so I crashed in the car.

Mommy and I came home, played a lot on the floor. She tells me I am getting so good at rolling around and lifting my head when I am on my stomach. Then Daddy came home and we played too. It really was a fun day.

Shopping trip and a new toy...

I slept all night again and Mommy was very pleased! When I did wake up I was HUNGRY! We had breakfast and then it was time to play. One thing that I really like to do now is Mommy holds my hands and helps me from the laying down position to the sitting position and then I pop up and with her help stand up. I am so proud when I am standing up that I can’t help but to smile and laugh. Mommy tells me I am tall. I have been talking a lot lately and am able to have a conversation. Yesterday on the way home from the beach, Mommy and I talked all the way home.

So today we took a trip to the mall and met up with Aunt Lynn and Aidan and Gavin. We went shopping for something for Mommy to wear to Heather's wedding. I was really good the whole time and entertained myself with my blue elephant and just listening to myself talk. When we were there for a while and I started to get tired Mommy decided I deserved a special treat for being so good. She bought me this cool blue doggy that sings the ABCs and kicks his feet. It made me feel better. After we said goodbye to Lynn, Aidan, and Gavin and I napped on the way home.

Once we got home, Mommy and I played on the floor. Mommy put me on my tummy and guess what? I didn't cry. Instead, I actually lifted my head up and started to use my arms to lift too. Mommy got so excited and started clapping. That made me happy and I wanted to do it again. When Daddy got home I showed him too.

We rolled around on the floor for a while and I played with my Giraffe stacker and then watch Mommy play with the Wii. After all that it was bed time. I'm pooped and tomorrow will be another full day.

Getting bigger

After a full night sleep, which was very nice for both me and Mommy, I woke up and played in my crib for a while. Mommy always does the nicest thing. When I am done playing and I call out a little, Mommy comes in and she leans over and says, "Good morning, sweetheart. Good morning, Nicky. Did you sleep well? I missed you." This always makes me smile. Then Mommy picks me up and puts me on my changing table, gives me a new diaper and lots of kisses. Then we go to the family room and we have breakfast.

Yesterday morning we played for a while then we got dressed and were heading to WalMart. But I fell asleep in the car so Mommy stopped at McDonalds and got some lunch. Then we went into WalMart. Mommy put me in the front carrier. I am starting to like being carried around that way because I am still close to Mommy but I can still look around. We got Mommy some new clothes and got a new lightbulb for my green elephant nightlight since it just burned out and it was too dark in my room. While we were in the store it started to rain really hard! We waited for the rain to lighten up and then headed to the car but then suddenly it started to pour again. Mommy was trying so hard not to have me in the rain she ran to the wrong car! It's okay Mommy, I didn't mind the rain. We got back home and saw Daddy. His friend Todd came over for a few minutes and Todd told us he was going to have a baby too! Yay, another friend. A little later this other guy came over to talk about getting a new roof put on the house. Mommy and Daddy talked to him for a while. After that it was bedtime and I went to sleep but I woke up a little later and was NOT happy. Mommy and Daddy couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. After a few failed attempts to get me back to sleep in my crib, Mommy got me to sleep in my swing. I was much happier there and Mommy slept on the couch really close to me.

When I woke up, I was fed and put back in my crib for the rest of the morning. Mommy got a little housework done and that nice lady Bridget came over to clean the rest of the house. Bridget talks to me a lot. She makes me laugh. I also showed her that I bite down hard by biting her finger. She and Mommy think that I might be teething.

A little later we headed to group. Today I weighed in at 13 lbs 3.6 oz. After I ate, I played with David and my elephant and also rolled around on the blanket. I had lots of fun.

After group, Mommy and I went to WalMart again and the grocery store really quick then home to drop off the groceries and then off to the boardwalk where we met Ms. Tara and James and Ms. Denise, Mr. Bryan, and Eleanor. I really liked the bouncing on the planks of the boardwalk. I kept talking so I could hear what it did to my voice! That made me and Mommy laugh. We also saw ducks playing on the shore. After all that, Mommy brought me home and I had dinner and went to sleep. Good night.

Memorial Day

Yesterday was Memorial Day and it was HOT HOT HOT! We spent the morning inside just hanging out and playing/sleeping. See me playing with my new giraffe stacker rings! Then we went over to Grandma's and Chachi's house.

We were going to cook out but decided to cook inside instead. We had a good time and I sat in my portable swing with the psychedelic lights for a while. When we got home it was already time for shower time. Tonight was the first night that I showered with Daddy (usually showers with Mommy). So of course, here comes Mommy with that flashy thing again, I think they call it a camera. Then it was bedtime. It was a long but fun weekend!
