We got to the doctor's office and as we were walking in Mommy told me to remember that we are doing this not because I was bad or because Mommy was mad at me but because this is what is best for me. I wasn't sure what she meant. The nurses were so nice to me, they always are there. The pretty young nurse led us to the examining room. She got my temperature and I gave her an award winning smile. Then Mommy got me out of my clothes and the nurse weighed and measured me. She said I was 15lbs 4oz and 26 inches long. When they put me up on the exam table I was going crazy for the cool paper lining they have on the table. I gave Mom a look like, "Can we get this stuff at home?"

Dr. Sharma came in and did a quick exam. She looked down my throat, she pushed on my belly (which made me giggle a little), and she tried to get me to sit up but I wanted to stand. She said everything looked great and I was very healthy. The pretty nurse came back with a sugary medicine. Some of it dribbled out of my mouth because I kept smiling at the pretty nurse. Then the tray came in. Mommy laid me down and held my hands and kissed my forehead while the nurse held my legs. Dr. Sharma gave me three quick shots. I didn't flinch with the first one but I turned red and started to cry with the second and third ones. I didn't cry long though. Mommy held me tight and kissed me and told me it was going to be ok. By the time we got back out to the front for Mommy to make the next appointment I was ok.
We got in the car and went to CVS, Walmart, and McDonalds. I was asleep on the way home. We stayed inside the rest of the day since Mommy didn't want to over do it since I got my shots. We played a lot and napped a lot. Mommy has noticed that I am becoming a little more clingy. I reach for Mommy to pick me up more and cry when she leaves the room and I can't see her anymore.
We went outside to let the dogs out and saw the neighbors. Mr. Dan fixed our push mower and when he started it up the noise scared me and I started to cry. Then Mommy was talking to Ms. Donna and Ms. Donna turned to me and said something and I started to cry again. The doctor did say something about the possibility of going through "stranger anxiety" for the next couple of months. Mommy said that just means that we need to see the neighbors more.
We came back inside and took it easy until Daddy came home. He had his first day of school today so he got home late but I was super happy to see him. I grabbed his beard and giggled with him and we played on the floor with my drum. I really love Daddy and you can tell that I make his day better.
I crashed for the night around 9pm.
