Visiting Day

This morning we all woke up to a massive thunderstorm. Mommy and I looked out the window together and even though it was 8am it looked like it was nighttime. The rain was coming down hard and the wind was strong. I wasn't scared cause Mommy told me there was nothing to be scared of.

After playing around on the floor with Mommy for a while we started to think about what we were going to do today. So Mommy called Granddaddy and Grandmommy and worked out meeting them at Granddaddy's school. So we got dressed and were on our way. When we got there I told both of them how much I missed them with big hugs, smiles, and giggles. Mommy set up the blanket on the floor so I could show them how I can sit up on my own like a big boy. Grandmommy and I also played with the springy head guy again and, Man, was that fun! I laughed so hard. We had a great visit. I watched Granddaddy put up all the educational decorations on his walls of this classroom. Then Granddaddy and Grandmommy sat with me on the floor and played. And after all that I was really really worn out so Mommy decided I had enough and packed me up. We said our goodbyes and I tried to tell Granddaddy not to be sad that I am leaving cause I will see him again soon. I fell asleep on the way home.

When I woke up we were at Grandma and Chachi's house. I guess I slept through the stop home to let the doggies out. I sat with Chachi for a little while and fussed a little but did okay. Then Aidan came downstairs and I was all smiles. My cousin Aidan is so funny and makes me smile every time, without fail. I gave hugs to Aunt Lynn while I watched Mommy play soccer with Aidan. I watched Uncle Sean grill sausages on the grill. We went downstairs to the basement to see the almost finished basement. Then I got on the floor and played really well with my toys and with Aidan. Aidan really liked my ABC dog. Grandma played with me while Mommy ate dinner and then it was back to Mommy. I started to tell her that I was about ready to go since I hadn't had much sleep today. So we said our goodbyes and headed home. In the car, Mommy tried to keep me from crying a lot so when I started to cry she would sing a note and it would get me to stop. It was kinda like we were singing together. When we got home, she opened the door and I just smiled at her. She can be so silly sometimes. We got inside, got changed for bed, had a nice big bedtime meal, and it was goodnight, Nicky.

P.S. Daddy comes home tomorrow. YAY!!! I really have missed him.
