Surprise Aunt Lynn, you're 30!

July 17 - So I have been working out a lot recently. I even work out in my crib before Mommy comes and gets me. I move all around my crib now. I could be completly turned around and on the other side of the crib than where Mommy put me the night before! And I practice my push ups. But if Mommy takes too long to come get me, I start to get tired again and then just rest on my belly and suck on my thumb until she comes and gets me. When she does come in, and before she picks me up, she kneels down next to the crib and smiles at me. I smile right back.

I also have a new toy at my changing table. Mommy gave me this toy that Grandma Thomas bought me months ago but I wasn't big enough yet. It is this little yellow rocking horse and it is the perfect size for me to hold and chew on while Mommy is changing my diaper. I also know it is just a ploy so that I don't roll over while she is trying to change me but I humor her.

Today was a surprise party for Aunt Lynn. Since she turned 30 this past Wednesday Daddy, Mommy, and I packed up and headed to one of Aunt Lynn's and Uncle Sean's friends' house where they were having a surprise party. They had a pool too. When Aunt Lynn got there she was happy to see everyone but at the same time kinda angry that Uncle Sean pulled a fast one on her.Today was also the first day that I was in the pool with Daddy. Mommy and I stepped into the pool and then she handed me off to Daddy. Daddy tried to show me that he could go in the deeper end and swim with me above his head but quickly learned that was a lot harder to do than he thought and we returned to the shallow end. Aidan also swam over to me in his life jacket and played with me for a while. We just laugh and laugh when we are around each other. But man! The pool was really packed. And it was a lot more rough than I was used to. People that looked like adults but acted like big kids were splashing and playing with a big beach ball. One time they missed the ball and it came over and bounced right off my head! I was surprised and started to frown but I didn't cry. Mommy thought that I had enough pool time shortly after that.
Mommy took me inside for a while to eat and try to take a nap. I started to fall asleep but was woken up by everyone coming in and out of the house. Instead I decided I wanted to show off and get up on all fours. I get so excited and rock. Aunt Lynn was very impressed and told me that I was growing up too fast!

We decided it was about time to go since I was started to get fussy and hadn't slept much today. I slept most of the way home. And after a little food and a little play time it was time for bed. Today was a busy, busy day.
