Feb 3 - This morning after breakfast Mommy told me that we had to go up to Waldorf for a few things. So we got dressed, hopped in Mommy's car, and went to Babies R Us. Before we got out of the car Mommy told me the list of places that she wanted to go before we went back home. She took me inside Babies R Us and we looked around for little books to put in the goodie bags for my party. We also looked for a toy for me for my birthday. We found a 12 book library of books from the movie Cars that Mommy thought was kinda perfect. And I found this music cube that each side has a different instrument and I can choose which instruments play a song. I really liked the piano button. So Mommy and I got our couple of things, paid for them, and went back to the car. She told me that PetsMart was next and put me in my carseat. Then she tried to start the car. It made this whirring sound but nothing happened. Uh-oh. Mommy got me back out of the car and into my stroller where we walked over to PetsMart as Mommy thought about what she was going to do next. She called Grandmommy to get the account number to AAA since Mommy forgot her card at home. Then she called AAA to get a tow truck to rescue us all while she bought a fish bowl for my party. We walked back to Babies R Us and sat for a little while eating puffs. It wasn't that long and Rob the tow truck drive came. He tried starting the car and said that he thought it was the timing belt. He also warned Mommy that it could be kind of pricey. Rob got my carseat base installed in his big truck and Mommy locked me in. It was kind of cool to be in that big truck. As we started to head toward home and I just couldn't stay awake with the soothing bumpiness of the truck. I was out in no time. It didn't hurt that it was my normal nap time anyway.
When I woke up Mommy was pulling my carseat out of the tow truck and handing it to Ms. Donna. Ms. Donna walked me over to her car and Mommy strapped my base in, locked me in again and we drove home. This trip wasn't a long one since we were already in Dunkirk. We got home and Mommy fed me. Daddy got home a couple hours later. I followed him into his bedroom and while he was changing I went over to the closet that wasn't closed and pinched my finger. I cried out and Daddy picked me up and hugged me. Mommy looked at my finger and I got a blood blister from it. :( It didn't feel good but I forgot about it pretty quick.
So I was playing on the floor with all my toys and the phone rang. I squealed in excitement. It was only a telemarketer which usually we don't answer but since I was so excited Daddy gave me the phone. I answered the phone and started "talking" into the phone and pushing buttons. The person on the other end didn't talk long. I got to do it again later when they called back too. Mommy and Daddy thought it was funny.
Daddy and Mommy started to talk about the party prep and what still needs to be done. Then there was a knock at the door. It was Chachi. He brought over a couple of things that Mommy ordered with Grandma Joanie recently through Amway. He and I played a little. He picked me up and made me laugh. Then he let me slide down his legs. Mommy, Daddy and he talked awhile before he said goodbye.
Then Mommy and Daddy fed me while they continued working on party prep. Daddy started working on the goodie bags. After I finished my meal and got cleaned up it was time for bed.
