Feb 2 - This morning Mommy and I had a little argument. After breakfast and during my play time I kept going over to the dvd player and pushing the button to eject all the dvds. Mommy would tell me no and move me but I would yell at her and then go right back to it. This went on for a while until Mommy had enough. She had already "Nicky-proofed" the tv using tape over the buttons and it has foiled my attempts at changing the input setting or turning off the tv. So she covered the display on the dvd player as well as covering the lights that light up green when it is on that usually gets my attention. The buttons are still there but I seemed to forget that those buttons are even there now that nothing lights up if I hit them. Foiled again!
I took my nap and ended up sleeping a little past when Mommy and I usually leave the house for group. Its ok, we weren't in that big of a rush. When we got there we had to park on the other side of the hospital since there were no parking spaces. We got there and Violet, Hunter, and Caleb were already there along with one of the new little babies from last week. James showed up a few minutes after us. Violet is starting to walk. She was really watching as I ran all over the place. I ended up going down a little in weight this week weighing in at 17lbs 9.4oz. Mommy said she figured since I didn't seem like I had been eating that much. I played for a while with my buddies. They are all really nice about sharing their toys with me. Ms. Tara gave us all puffs and then we all took over the store. And Mommy realized that a year ago today is when she met Ms. Betty. This was the day that she went to the prenatal breastfeeding class.
After we left group Mommy decided to stop by the nail place in Dunkirk to get her eyebrows waxed for my party on Saturday. She said she couldn't hold me because I would try to reach for the wax and I couldn't be allowed to run around the place so Mommy did something that she hadn't done in a while; she left me in the carseat carrier to bring me inside. Let me tell you that even though it only took 5 minutes I was not happy. I am mobile and I don't like being stuck.
After the nail place we went to the grocery store. I was already tired but I held in there for Mommy. We ran into Caleb and his mommy and we also ran into an old college friend of Mommy's. By the end of the grocery trip I was exhausted and had had enough. When we got home Ms. Donna was getting into her car. She came over and kept me company as Mommy got all the groceries into the house. She also helped me put my socks back on my feet because of course I took them off.
Once inside I ate a couple chicken tenders and then rubbed baby food all over my face and in hair. Mommy was letting me feed myself because she said that I am getting old enough that I need to start trying with a spoon. I was a mess. I was thrown in the bathtub as soon as I was done. After the bath Mommy had me on the changing table. I got a little too wild and started to fall. Mommy caught me in mid air. I was fine but boy, did it scare Mommy. She held me really close for a few minutes as her heart returned to a normal beat. I went to bed at 8pm which means I didn't get to see Daddy today. We will just have to make up for that tomorrow.
